Kampong Chhnang (ខេត្តកំពង់ឆ្នាំង, "Port of Pottery") is one of the central provinces of Cambodia. Kampong Channang is a small province 91 kilometers from Phnom Penh. It is in the alluvial plain of central Cambodia and is drained by the Tonle Sap, a tributary of the Mekong river.
Kampong Chhnang Province is bordered with Kampong Cham to the East, Pursat to the West, Kampong Speu and Kandal to the South, and Kampong Thom and Kratie to the North. The province is subdivided into 7 Districts and 1 City, which are further subdivided into 66 Communes (Khum), 4 Sangkats and 569 Villages (Phum).
